How would you make the perfect love story?
To begin it needs a pound of loss and a ton of pain
One broken heart, two shots of shame
Mix in equal amounts of jealousy and greed
Just a pinch of anger and a little bit of need
Then let the emotions simmer
A perfect love is not made by perfect people
But instead the battered and broken ones
That have loved and lost and still want more
Even those who don’t know how
Will find the one they’re meant to find
Throw down a layer of well placed fate
Let that sit then add in a great first date
Take out the hate and turn up the heat
For a soft tender love that’s very sweet
Then move onto dessert
Even a perfect love has its flaws
A misplaced line or unknown change
A rocky middle makes a great beginning
Take a break and let it set the thing will fix itself
All works out in the end
Sprinkle the plate with honesty and trust
Break out the memories blow off the dust
Spread caring evenly over every piece
Serve with sides of understanding and peace
Serves two nicely
